You know that satisfying feeling when someone sees what you’re passionate about and wants to be a part of it? That happened to me recently, and I just have to share the story!
One of my awesome subscribers reached out after seeing some of my upcycling projects—particularly the shirts I’ve been working on. They were inspired by the way I breathe new life into old garments and asked if I could create something unique just for them. How could I say no?
The Process
I dove right into the project with excitement. First, we chatted about their style, favorite colors, and what kind of vibe they were looking for in a custom piece. I should have asked more questions. I was still a little lost. I did not want to disappoint.
After gathering all the details, I sifted through my collection of fabrics and materials, looking for just the right combination that would capture their vision. It’s like a puzzle, finding the perfect pieces that fit together to create something new and beautiful. I was out running an errand one day when I found it.

The Creation
Once I had everything in place, it was time to get to work. I won’t lie, there were a few moments where I had to pause, step back, and rethink a stitch or two. But that’s the beauty of upcycling—each project is unique, and there’s always room for creativity and adjustment.

As the shirt began to take shape, I knew it was going to be something special. The final touches are always my favorite—adding those little details that make a piece truly one-of-a-kind.
The Reveal
When the shirt was finished, I couldn’t wait to share the results with my subscriber. I wish I could have been there to see them open it. They said they liked it. I hope they truly did because I love it. It's this cute workout shirt. It has this braiding in the back. Peek-a-boo blue on the front and sides.

This experience was a reminder of why I love what I do. Upcycling isn’t just about recycling materials; it’s about creating new stories and connections. Every piece has a history, and now this shirt has a new chapter, thanks to a subscriber who believed in my work.
Final Thoughts
To everyone who follows along with my upcycling journey, thank you for your support and inspiration. Whether it’s a request for a custom piece or just a word of encouragement, you all keep me going and push me to keep creating.
