After months of counting the days and hours the time has finally come to depart on a 7-day cruise with my mom. We originally planned this trip for June of 2020. It was my 45th Birthday and her 70th. That cruise did not happen. This one looks a little different. It is just me and her and not the big family trip originally planned.
After careful consideration of the activities, I would participate in. Many hours were spent daydreaming of dinners together, deck parties, slow mornings, and general fun in the sun. Lists were made on what to pack what to wear and when to wear it. I consulted blogs and vlogs I am feeling confident in my preparedness I am ready to pack for the trip.
For past trips, I usually take a week to pack. I carefully laid everything out and grouped the items by category. I would have each outfit in a neat stack with top, bottom, shoes, and accessories. I give careful consideration to each item, comfort, wearability, and purpose as well as if it can be used more than once. Then I pack my intended luggage and make adjustments based on space.
All of my stuff is on the second floor of the house. A week before the trip Loki hurt himself and we were trying to keep him from using the stairs. This kept me from doing the usual packing prep I usually do.
You can watch me hurriedly pack my bags here.
